I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, here's what we did on our Christmas break.
We made cookies for Santa and left carrots for the reindeer.

After Christmas was over we left for West Virginia. We took a lunch break at this spot on the mountain. It was beautiful!!

There was a stream down below.

It was so cool exploring around here.

After hours of traveling the blood started pumping when we saw the back side of Snowshoe, we couldn't get there fast enough. See the two white slopes?

The view was spectacular.

We finally arrived around 3pm on the 28th. This is the view from our balcony.

We went tubing the night we arrived. It was so much fun. It was dark when I took the pic below. It's Alexis tubing down a hill.

The kids couldn't get enough of the white stuff. This is what Trey looked like half the time. Trey put your skis on and lets get going. Huh what? Notice we are in the middle of a slope and Trey decides to play.

Trey got on the big lift this year. He skied like a pro. Last year he informed me that he was afraid of heights, I guess that fear went away.

No pizza going on here, he had complete control going down.

Alexis loves to ski too, we skied till we dropped.

Alexis making a snow angel.

There was a blizzard on our last full day at Snowshoe. It snowed side ways all day. We couldn't ski but that didn't stop us from having fun.

Darrel briefly put skis on, It was so brief that I missed the photo op.

The next few photo's need no explanation.

Trey and Alexis having a race on their snow discs, notice the snow blowing really hard.

Trey asked if we could move here. He said the same thing last year. I guess we could hunt our food, (click pic for close up)

And live in our van.

If the economy doesn't shape up we may just have to do that.

It was so sad when we had to leave. The kids practically slept the whole way home. We made it home in 14 hours.

Let me know if anyone wants to join us next year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
